Our own William Gee has had a busy period this half-term – a win and a runner-up place in LTA graded competition.

Not satisfied with winning the 12 years and under tournament at Croydon Tennis Club on Sunday 29th May, William then set his sights on the 14 years and under Grade 4 tournament played at Harlow Lawn Tennis Club in Essex on GeeWednesday 1st June where he fought hard against an older opponent but eventually lost out after a tie-break.

William has been coached by our coach David Whitehouse since he was five years old and is continuing to work on his game and gain more experience by playing older opponents and entering tournaments.

We’re sure there’s more to come.

…. and indeed there was…he ended the half-term with a win in a 14 years and under tournament played at Polo Farm on Friday. His partner and friend Joseph Richards, who is also 12 years old,  have been playing together since they were 7 years old.  It’s been a good week for William.
